(Memory+Questions+Food+Time)*Engineering=a really long post at 3:00am

Yes, its true I haven't kept my word about blogging every single day, and that is because I do not have time. Given by the time, I updating this post, its almost 02:30 am on the clock. Completing analog electronic circuits assignments, logic design record, math assignments, studying for the Network Analysis test, is all that my life consists of at the moment. But, I disagree with the fact that this is all that my life needs, hence the blog update.

After all the shit, I've been through, I found out that whatever I predict or imagine or even think in my wildest of imaginations, doesn't come true. I've been longing for that time, where I could say, "Yes, this is my dream and it is finally true." Because, it simply never happens. Also, I bragged how I'll update my blog every single day, and It Never Happened. Though I try my best to update whenever I get the TIME> I'll henceforth try to update it everyday, so that my senior who always mocks me about how I did not keep my word, gets an answer right in theface. :P

The last time, I blogged about how easy Math and Analog Electronic circuits are referring them to mouth watering pieces of cakes, I scored badly in both the test, 16 and 15 marks out of 25 respectively. People would argue that these are pretty good marks for an engineering student, who starts studying a night before the exam, and I respect that. Before that, I bragged how easy IIT-JEE was and how anyone could crack it, referring JEE( one of the toughest exams in the country) to a piece of cake again, I flunked in that test. Well, I didn't study, and I still think that JEE is a piece of cake, but still as I mentioned before, what I think never comes true. Yeah, my bad luck, or if I take it in an optimists outlook, its actually great. It teaches how we must live in the present and not worry about the future, and make the most of now and all that kinds of crap. What I don't get is, If I don't think about the future, how will I get through? Depending on almighty is one thing, and not preparing for tomorrow's exam just because we're supposed to live in the moment is another. If we do not study for the exam that is tomorrow, how could we possibly pass? If we have ample knowledge about the subject then not studying is just fine. But when we do not know SHIT about the subject, how is "living in the moment"
 justified?

I've been looking for answers for a long time, and when I get my answer, another question arises and I start looking the perfect answer for the newly found query. Fifteen more minutes to 3 am, and I could be officially declared as a Nocturnal creature.

Back to the topic on which this blog is based on, Engineering Life>> I slept for 13 hours this Sunday. Yes, I slept for more than half the day, and I'm not ashamed of it, because a good sleep is all that a Good engineering student needs, as they rarely get one. Skipping breakfasts, having lunch in "Ramakrishna Non veg" hotel downstairs, is now starting to be a trend. The last time I remember having breakfast is when I woke up at 7. College is at 9, and I get up at 8. One hour is all I need to get myself in place and in the classroom seat. All of a sudden, I realized that I've a pretty bad memory these days. I was about to blog about my bad memory in the first place, but my bad memory did not let me blog about the bad memory I was about to blog on. Whenever I'm in class, I come across a lot of stuff and I feel like,"Oh man, I got to blog this the first thing I get my hands on a keyboard, with an internet connection." Wait, there should be a monitor as well( bad memory perks). But as I said, I've a bad memory, I forget to note things down and I forget to blog. Whenever my friends are like, "Remember that time, when that shit happened, and he did that and this, and I did that, and she was like woah." I stare at their faces, as if they are speaking a foreign language, because I have no clue what in the name of holy spirits, they are talking about!! I... see? I just forgot the next freaking sentence, I had planned to write at the beginning of this bad memory topic. Henceforth, I take an oath to take down whatever funny crap that I find worth blogging and worth reading for you guys as well, so that everybody lives a peaceful life and green house gases decrease(I've no idea why I put that shit right in the middle of all this) Until tomorrow, alright people, keep reading. :D
P.S-The animal above is Holstein-Freisian breed of dairy cow.(This implies, I must sleep right now.)

Do not read. Boring post. Revival needed.

So, finally I find the time to blog in the college Internet lab, the last time I remember blogging in the lab is in the last semester. The irony of buying new stuff is that, once you get it, you lose its importance. With fifteen minutes left till the next lecture and I'm pretty confused what to blog about, a friend suddenly walks up to me and appreciates my blog, I'm naturally, flattered by his frankness. He even offers to translate my blogs to Kannada, for the local folks to get a hold of what I write. I'm overwhelmed right now. I have no idea what to write and still I'm typing random crap into the keyboard very hard, so that everyone in this net lab could know that I'm a blogger!! :D Yeah, poor means of advertising, I understand, but you could call it desperation of young bloggers who wish to make their blog famous? You'll know what I'm talking about if, you start a blog, and very less people visit it.

Lectures before the lunch break were pretty alright, provided I had not done the Math or Analog Electronic Circuits assignment, so I was kicked out of the class and asked to write the assignment 4x times respectively. Math ma'am being kind at heart, could not bear seeing her students outside the class completing notebooks, as it would be pretty harsh on her part as well, so she called us back in to the class and asked us to complete the homework as soon as possible. Cheers to that. This post is getting pretty boring down the line and I'd rather not bore you more, as I'm not on the edge since I've not blogged for the past few days due to unavailability of an Internet connection. And I know I'm making many grammatical errors, and I've five minutes for the classes to start, so without wasting my time further, I bid everyone a happy adieu, Adios, folks. :D (P.S. I'll try blogging better from now on)

Cute Capacitor Revenge. :D

In the midst of all the serious experimenting in the Analog Electronic Circuits laboratory, my lab partner never seems to be intimidated by the amount of seriousness I inculcate in rigging up the circuit. :P The other day, we were trying independently clip two sinusoidal waveforms, and the output waveform was like a design, and she goes, "Oh my god, this is soooooooooo cuteeeeeee". And I'm staring at her, as if she was the one who master planned the 9/11 bombings. You might know a thing or two about girls, that they blabber all day and stuff, but this particular young lady could go on and on for hours together. :P Therefore, I prefer not arguing with her, especially when she's all, "(makes a frown face) aaaaaa this is soooooo boring, aaaaa im so sleepy, aaaaaa I hate him!!!, aaaaaaa we'll do this in the next labbbbbbbb, aaaaaaaaa". And the way she says all this is so funny, I can't stop but laugh!! I even got into trouble the other day, when the lecturer saw me smiling, and told something in Kannada, which was later explained to by my lab partner that the lecturer wanted me to kick me out of the lab!! :P

I'll tell you a situation which happened today, when we got a couple of a 100 pico ( 10 to the power -12) Farads ceramic capacitors, and she goes "wowwwwww this is soooo cuteeee!!!!" I am not sure whether this was a bit too offensive on my part, but I'm sure that if she is reading this at the moment, she'll go, "Ashish, I'll kill you!!" But, I do not care, my dear friend. ;) Here is the photo of a ceramic capacitor, and even if you find it cute, congratulations, you just found a best friend!! :P Alright people, Keep Reading! :)

Sunday Or Vacation?

Lazing around on a nice Sunday feels so good after a hectic week. All I did yesterday was watch movies and sleep and got up late in the morning today. A good twelve-hour sleep, once a week, sets it all right. Obviously, if you get up late in hostel, you don't get breakfast and given the similarity in the mouth watering delicacies of lunch you get daily, you'd rather eat in the "apparently gross hotel" according to those "hygienic people who eat in seven star hotels", which caters to the needs of almost everyone. Right from chickenators to hard core cigarette smokers. Named after the Indian Mythological Gods, "Ram and Krishna", Hotel Ramkrishna, caters to the needs of students who get tired of the daily rants of engineering life, offering them chicken, maggi, sandwiches, cold drinks, ice creams, omlete paav, vada paav, sev puri, bhel puri, "chinece noodles, fried rice, bhel(Chinese people would ", or just a simple pack of  smokes and much more. I wonder if Lord Ram or Lord Krishna come to visit our small town, they'd be surprised how students are getting spoiled under the pretext of their holy names. Cigarettes, one puff and they could spoil the best of people, is exactly what happens here. There are students who visit RK(as we lovingly call the "gross hotel") succumb to peer pressure and start drifting away in their own world of (holy) smokes.

It has its own corner for those who smoke on the backside of the hotel, where people who do not smoke, do not go, and anybody who goes behind is automatically a smoker in the eyes of the world. I've completed one year in this beautiful place and I hope the readers understand my Sarcasm. That's about it  for today, my friend is hungry and so am I, and there is a guy( who smokes) staring at my laptop, so I'd rather stop because he appears pissed. Keep reading people. ;)

This is that shit, right here.

I pen down, or rather type this post sitting on the broken college chair which was installed merely a week ago, all due to the admission hype.Yes, there are a lot of new faces one can see in our college these days. Most of them flaunting their attitudes on their forehead. Juniors, can't help it, would take a while till they understand how things roll in the college.

There is this particular who comes to the college wearing a tie, a blue, red or a freaking YELLOW tie! Even our Dean prefers not wearing the neck gear, but this junior is all set to make his mark on this institution only till the seniors take good care of him.

Apart from all the regular blabbering and blogging about how my day was and how my crush smiled at me, I'd think of doing something different than the usual. For example, here is a diagram of an RC phase shift oscillator. :D Courtesy Wikipedia. :D
To know how this shit right here, works, contact me or Wikipedia is always your best friend. Keep reading folks. ;)

Random recall

Internal exams are over, maths and analog electronic circuits were pretty okay, but not that good. I managed to score average marks, which in engineering, does the trick. There's this beautiful subject called field theory though, in which almost the whole class flunked, except a handful of people who managed to break the ice. Today was the first day in college after internals and all lecturers were pissed at the students who scored less than "their expectations". Apparently, some of us would quote, "we scored more than we expected". Seriously, how much marks do you expect when you start studying 4 hours before the exam? Getting eleven marks out of twenty five with only that much of studying is a big deal, at least for me it is.

Getting up during the exams is a real pain for me. I usually sleep during exams, and wakingup seems like walking all the way to New York, without flip flops. My room mate who has a very bad voice, keeps on singing all the time and he thinks, his voice is the vocal equivalent of A.R. Rahman. I hate to disclose this to him, but A. R. Rahman would kill himself if he came to know of this dreadful comparison. I know I'm going out of topic here as I don't  have anything to write on. Its funny, when I'm in class, whenever something weird happens, I'd be like, "I could write a 1000 words about this funny shit". But now when I try to recall, all I can think of is the word recall. From now on, I'll make it a point to carry my laptop everywhere and whenever something happends, I SHALL BLOG! Till then, Keep Reading people. :D

Seven hours to Math exam

So, here I am again, just like I promised, to blog every single day. Well, this ain't exactly "the day", as it strikes 02:21 on my clock here in the hostel. Its funny how hostel gets all silent during the night, cuz in the day it seems to be a nuclear reactor workplace. Especially during Sundays, the only day we rest that is. So, yeah today's my maths exam and well, yesterday, the 9th of September was a day out of the usual, as all I did in the room was kept staring at my textbook on analog electronic circuits and engineering mathematics 3. It actually makes sense when you start reading some stuff from the basics. Some part of Analog Electronic Circuits or AEC as the young generation prefer it calling, actually has got some grounds of justification.

Analog Electronic circuits is actually a fun subject, clippers, clampers and all that kinds of shit has practical application in a vast field. Whenever I study something, which has some practical application, I get this "yeah, I can do something, I know something of which this world is made of". Fourier Series on the other hand which comes purely under mathematics as of now, is apparently an infinite sine and cosine series. For those readers who do not know what sine and cosine is, Wikipedia could be your best friend. Back to Fourier series, it finally made sense when the long forgotten IIT-JEE lectures revived themselves in my brain, and all of a sudden I realized how whatever we do in life, somewhere, sometime it'll pay us back. As they say, "What goes around, comes around". Here, the "they" is a random Facebook friend whose status inspired me to reblog this quote for all the good reasons. Fourier series is a piece of cake, if you look at it in the graphical sense.A little bit of common sense, knowledge, imagination, and Engineering Mathematics could be your slave. Mark my words. Its almost 02:30, I'd better go to bed or else there'll only be six hours remaining for the test. Adios Amigos. Keep Reading. :)

Daily blog #1

So, this is the first day of the rest of my blogging journey where I take an oath to blog every single day no matter what, which could help me improve my English, vocabulary and also will help my story, my views to readers all over the globe. A brief introduction, me, Ashish Suvarna, pursuing engineering in a town called Moodbidri, completed 2 semesters which is equal to one year with much appreciation is going to write about the daily shit that happens to him on this page. It might be interesting or boring. So, those who wish to read, log on. Today, being the last day of the week, Saturday, was a pretty good day, I showed my teacher how to solve a possibly difficult problem with much ease and also explained to the class how its done. Its funny, when you take a teacher's place, you understand what problems he faces while teaching. When I'm explaining to the class how to convert max term expressions into canonical form using the minimum number of steps, the class is staring at me as if I'm a creature from some racist planet. The blackboard was my best friend then, as I was trying to face the blackboard every now and then. Apart from explaining to stupid stuff to the class, the girl I've a crush on turned back and smiled. I smiled back, not knowing what to do next. The rest of the day was interesting enough, and as I have my exams from monday, I'd have to study. This particular suibject, apparently called "Field Theory", really gets on my nerves as I believe, it gets on everyone's. Being the first day as a daily blogger, I suppose this much of material would suffice. I've a lot more in stock, which could might as well keep your jaws open, but you'd have to wait for that. As they say, Patience is most rewarding. I don't know, whether "they say" or not. I just made that up. Keep reading folks. :D

About a friend.

Ajith, or as he prefers calling himself AJ (the cooler counterpart) is the only person I’ve come across so far so always has a smile on his face, no matter what. And when I say, ‘no matter what’ I mean it. Ajith and I have been friends and classmates for over a year now and there have been times in class when we were kicked out of the class for random stuff, and this person is still smiling! He’ll never disappoint you if you crack really bad jokes. If there were 100 Ajith’s in the audience, even I could be a stand-up comedian. Donning the last bench of the class was not always the ulterior motive, but getting good marks. This particular guy never gave a rat’s ass for class tests or assignments and during the final exams, he brings this result out of nowhere which says “First Class with Distinction”, and we’re like, when in the name of god did you study?
Chelsea, the mere utter of the word makes this guy goes crazy. I’m not much of a football guy, so that irritates me when he’s all “WOAH F**K YOU, THIS GUY(some Latin American name) SCORED A GOAL” and “WOAH, CHELSEA WON, F**K ALL HATERS” and “KTBFFH” which inadvertently means "keep the blue flag flying high"( I seriously do not know why they kept such an abbreviation, it could be FBFH "flying blue flag high" so simple!) on his twitter and facebook profile. So, I prefer not visiting his wall during such catastrophically invaded events. He says, he has a fan following on ‘twitter’ who ask him about football matches, I wonder who these people are. As of now, you could have figured out that he’s a die-hard Chelsea fan. So, anything you say to him, never say a word against Chelsea if you wish to live peacefully. As far as I know, he’s not much of an angry guy; he’ll not yell at you or hit you. But you never know what he’ll do next, fun to be around with.
Kerala, where he hails from, and Goa, his alma mater, could be called the two important places in his life. Now that he’s in a town called Moodbidri, pursuing Engineering with the rest of us hopeless souls, his photography skills emerged glowing as well. Photography, is one more thing he keeps on doing all the time, except from facebooking (he claims to have left facebook, to be social in real life, but we all know you are here :P) and tweeting from his Nokia Lumia 710. A brilliant photographer, I might add. AJ knows exceptionally everything about cameras, lenses and light. And whenever he starts with his camera (macros, lenses numbers) and all that kinds of shit, I silently pray to god, asking him to bless my worthless, ignorant soul. When it comes to music, its trance and David Guetta all the way. His page AJ|Photography on facebook is doing quite the buzz these days, with excellent snaps doing the rounds of his page.
Well, there are still 3 years for engineering to carve our lives, and till we stay together, I’m sure I’ll learn some new shit from you, my friend. Peace. J

Back to civilisation

So,  I’m back to my natural self. Blogging and engineering, I was not active for the past few months, and I’d rather not give reasons. The sole reason I wouldn’t blog was because I was lazy, and this particular, two days before exams, I blog. Its funny how during exams, almost anything could turn interesting. Till now, I had a fair deal of no blogging, but from now, things are going to change. I solemnly vow to blog every single day, so as to improve my vocabulary and writing skills, which would be inadvertently  useful for my future endeavours and also for you readers if you think so. Now, that I’ve started writing again, I wonder how many people I’ve to write, there’s this friend who keeps on telling me to blog every now and then, and then he suddenly stopped pursuing. Another one of my friends wants me to write a testimonial which I’m more than glad to write about, but as I said earlier, Laziness could get on your nerves, but now is out of my nervous system. So, here I blog, henceforth. Keep reading people. J
