Sunday Or Vacation?

Lazing around on a nice Sunday feels so good after a hectic week. All I did yesterday was watch movies and sleep and got up late in the morning today. A good twelve-hour sleep, once a week, sets it all right. Obviously, if you get up late in hostel, you don't get breakfast and given the similarity in the mouth watering delicacies of lunch you get daily, you'd rather eat in the "apparently gross hotel" according to those "hygienic people who eat in seven star hotels", which caters to the needs of almost everyone. Right from chickenators to hard core cigarette smokers. Named after the Indian Mythological Gods, "Ram and Krishna", Hotel Ramkrishna, caters to the needs of students who get tired of the daily rants of engineering life, offering them chicken, maggi, sandwiches, cold drinks, ice creams, omlete paav, vada paav, sev puri, bhel puri, "chinece noodles, fried rice, bhel(Chinese people would ", or just a simple pack of  smokes and much more. I wonder if Lord Ram or Lord Krishna come to visit our small town, they'd be surprised how students are getting spoiled under the pretext of their holy names. Cigarettes, one puff and they could spoil the best of people, is exactly what happens here. There are students who visit RK(as we lovingly call the "gross hotel") succumb to peer pressure and start drifting away in their own world of (holy) smokes.

It has its own corner for those who smoke on the backside of the hotel, where people who do not smoke, do not go, and anybody who goes behind is automatically a smoker in the eyes of the world. I've completed one year in this beautiful place and I hope the readers understand my Sarcasm. That's about it  for today, my friend is hungry and so am I, and there is a guy( who smokes) staring at my laptop, so I'd rather stop because he appears pissed. Keep reading people. ;)

This is that shit, right here.

I pen down, or rather type this post sitting on the broken college chair which was installed merely a week ago, all due to the admission hype.Yes, there are a lot of new faces one can see in our college these days. Most of them flaunting their attitudes on their forehead. Juniors, can't help it, would take a while till they understand how things roll in the college.

There is this particular who comes to the college wearing a tie, a blue, red or a freaking YELLOW tie! Even our Dean prefers not wearing the neck gear, but this junior is all set to make his mark on this institution only till the seniors take good care of him.

Apart from all the regular blabbering and blogging about how my day was and how my crush smiled at me, I'd think of doing something different than the usual. For example, here is a diagram of an RC phase shift oscillator. :D Courtesy Wikipedia. :D
To know how this shit right here, works, contact me or Wikipedia is always your best friend. Keep reading folks. ;)

Random recall

Internal exams are over, maths and analog electronic circuits were pretty okay, but not that good. I managed to score average marks, which in engineering, does the trick. There's this beautiful subject called field theory though, in which almost the whole class flunked, except a handful of people who managed to break the ice. Today was the first day in college after internals and all lecturers were pissed at the students who scored less than "their expectations". Apparently, some of us would quote, "we scored more than we expected". Seriously, how much marks do you expect when you start studying 4 hours before the exam? Getting eleven marks out of twenty five with only that much of studying is a big deal, at least for me it is.

Getting up during the exams is a real pain for me. I usually sleep during exams, and wakingup seems like walking all the way to New York, without flip flops. My room mate who has a very bad voice, keeps on singing all the time and he thinks, his voice is the vocal equivalent of A.R. Rahman. I hate to disclose this to him, but A. R. Rahman would kill himself if he came to know of this dreadful comparison. I know I'm going out of topic here as I don't  have anything to write on. Its funny, when I'm in class, whenever something weird happens, I'd be like, "I could write a 1000 words about this funny shit". But now when I try to recall, all I can think of is the word recall. From now on, I'll make it a point to carry my laptop everywhere and whenever something happends, I SHALL BLOG! Till then, Keep Reading people. :D

Seven hours to Math exam

So, here I am again, just like I promised, to blog every single day. Well, this ain't exactly "the day", as it strikes 02:21 on my clock here in the hostel. Its funny how hostel gets all silent during the night, cuz in the day it seems to be a nuclear reactor workplace. Especially during Sundays, the only day we rest that is. So, yeah today's my maths exam and well, yesterday, the 9th of September was a day out of the usual, as all I did in the room was kept staring at my textbook on analog electronic circuits and engineering mathematics 3. It actually makes sense when you start reading some stuff from the basics. Some part of Analog Electronic Circuits or AEC as the young generation prefer it calling, actually has got some grounds of justification.

Analog Electronic circuits is actually a fun subject, clippers, clampers and all that kinds of shit has practical application in a vast field. Whenever I study something, which has some practical application, I get this "yeah, I can do something, I know something of which this world is made of". Fourier Series on the other hand which comes purely under mathematics as of now, is apparently an infinite sine and cosine series. For those readers who do not know what sine and cosine is, Wikipedia could be your best friend. Back to Fourier series, it finally made sense when the long forgotten IIT-JEE lectures revived themselves in my brain, and all of a sudden I realized how whatever we do in life, somewhere, sometime it'll pay us back. As they say, "What goes around, comes around". Here, the "they" is a random Facebook friend whose status inspired me to reblog this quote for all the good reasons. Fourier series is a piece of cake, if you look at it in the graphical sense.A little bit of common sense, knowledge, imagination, and Engineering Mathematics could be your slave. Mark my words. Its almost 02:30, I'd better go to bed or else there'll only be six hours remaining for the test. Adios Amigos. Keep Reading. :)

Daily blog #1

So, this is the first day of the rest of my blogging journey where I take an oath to blog every single day no matter what, which could help me improve my English, vocabulary and also will help my story, my views to readers all over the globe. A brief introduction, me, Ashish Suvarna, pursuing engineering in a town called Moodbidri, completed 2 semesters which is equal to one year with much appreciation is going to write about the daily shit that happens to him on this page. It might be interesting or boring. So, those who wish to read, log on. Today, being the last day of the week, Saturday, was a pretty good day, I showed my teacher how to solve a possibly difficult problem with much ease and also explained to the class how its done. Its funny, when you take a teacher's place, you understand what problems he faces while teaching. When I'm explaining to the class how to convert max term expressions into canonical form using the minimum number of steps, the class is staring at me as if I'm a creature from some racist planet. The blackboard was my best friend then, as I was trying to face the blackboard every now and then. Apart from explaining to stupid stuff to the class, the girl I've a crush on turned back and smiled. I smiled back, not knowing what to do next. The rest of the day was interesting enough, and as I have my exams from monday, I'd have to study. This particular suibject, apparently called "Field Theory", really gets on my nerves as I believe, it gets on everyone's. Being the first day as a daily blogger, I suppose this much of material would suffice. I've a lot more in stock, which could might as well keep your jaws open, but you'd have to wait for that. As they say, Patience is most rewarding. I don't know, whether "they say" or not. I just made that up. Keep reading folks. :D

About a friend.

Ajith, or as he prefers calling himself AJ (the cooler counterpart) is the only person I’ve come across so far so always has a smile on his face, no matter what. And when I say, ‘no matter what’ I mean it. Ajith and I have been friends and classmates for over a year now and there have been times in class when we were kicked out of the class for random stuff, and this person is still smiling! He’ll never disappoint you if you crack really bad jokes. If there were 100 Ajith’s in the audience, even I could be a stand-up comedian. Donning the last bench of the class was not always the ulterior motive, but getting good marks. This particular guy never gave a rat’s ass for class tests or assignments and during the final exams, he brings this result out of nowhere which says “First Class with Distinction”, and we’re like, when in the name of god did you study?
Chelsea, the mere utter of the word makes this guy goes crazy. I’m not much of a football guy, so that irritates me when he’s all “WOAH F**K YOU, THIS GUY(some Latin American name) SCORED A GOAL” and “WOAH, CHELSEA WON, F**K ALL HATERS” and “KTBFFH” which inadvertently means "keep the blue flag flying high"( I seriously do not know why they kept such an abbreviation, it could be FBFH "flying blue flag high" so simple!) on his twitter and facebook profile. So, I prefer not visiting his wall during such catastrophically invaded events. He says, he has a fan following on ‘twitter’ who ask him about football matches, I wonder who these people are. As of now, you could have figured out that he’s a die-hard Chelsea fan. So, anything you say to him, never say a word against Chelsea if you wish to live peacefully. As far as I know, he’s not much of an angry guy; he’ll not yell at you or hit you. But you never know what he’ll do next, fun to be around with.
Kerala, where he hails from, and Goa, his alma mater, could be called the two important places in his life. Now that he’s in a town called Moodbidri, pursuing Engineering with the rest of us hopeless souls, his photography skills emerged glowing as well. Photography, is one more thing he keeps on doing all the time, except from facebooking (he claims to have left facebook, to be social in real life, but we all know you are here :P) and tweeting from his Nokia Lumia 710. A brilliant photographer, I might add. AJ knows exceptionally everything about cameras, lenses and light. And whenever he starts with his camera (macros, lenses numbers) and all that kinds of shit, I silently pray to god, asking him to bless my worthless, ignorant soul. When it comes to music, its trance and David Guetta all the way. His page AJ|Photography on facebook is doing quite the buzz these days, with excellent snaps doing the rounds of his page.
Well, there are still 3 years for engineering to carve our lives, and till we stay together, I’m sure I’ll learn some new shit from you, my friend. Peace. J

Back to civilisation

So,  I’m back to my natural self. Blogging and engineering, I was not active for the past few months, and I’d rather not give reasons. The sole reason I wouldn’t blog was because I was lazy, and this particular, two days before exams, I blog. Its funny how during exams, almost anything could turn interesting. Till now, I had a fair deal of no blogging, but from now, things are going to change. I solemnly vow to blog every single day, so as to improve my vocabulary and writing skills, which would be inadvertently  useful for my future endeavours and also for you readers if you think so. Now, that I’ve started writing again, I wonder how many people I’ve to write, there’s this friend who keeps on telling me to blog every now and then, and then he suddenly stopped pursuing. Another one of my friends wants me to write a testimonial which I’m more than glad to write about, but as I said earlier, Laziness could get on your nerves, but now is out of my nervous system. So, here I blog, henceforth. Keep reading people. J
