Blogging, brings me closer to the world. Somehow, I feel when I blog, I'm the strongest person on the planet and that my ideas reflect on the people who read what I write. But, that is not the only reason I blog, I blog because I wish to tell my story to the world. There are people in this world who tweak their story just so that they could get famous, just so that their story could get a lot more interesting. I agree, the temptation of tweaking a real life story, to make it epic is very difficult to resist, because then the story reaches new heights, it makes that particular story impenetrable, making it legen.. wait for it.. DARY!
But, I assure my readers, I do not do that. Whatever I type in here is nothing but the truth. Every single day there is a moment in my day, when I make a note in my head to blog about that moment, either because that moment teaches me something, or it has something that would get more hits on my blog? Either way, it turns out to be an interesting read. Earlier, I used to contemplate that what if my friends, my family don't like what I post on the Internet, what if I'm criticized, but this answer 'what if?' could be answered only if I'm man enough to take the first step. To type what I feel, to convey to the world my views, the truth, no bull shit. Yes, that is right, I'm no longer afraid that the world is going to judge, because I am what I am, and I know myself better than anybody else and the freedom of speech supports my voice and ideas to reach out to the world, so why not utilize that to get more hits on this page? Its not like anybody is stopping me, is it?
So, getting to the point. Today, was the day the college was inaugurating a speakers club and the key note speaker was the renowned B.M. Hegde who is famous to the extent of having a wiki page to his name. Sadly, I cannot extract more information from wikipedia because the surprisingly, the hostel wi fi doesn't support opening wiki pages. Weird, right? So, after lighting the lamp, and a brief introduction of the speaker. He starts off with a pun, and he's really into the philosophical side at first. I like the idea how humans are their own enemies and we have to change right from our very souls to change the world. But, I had a question for him which was sadly not appreciated, because of the following two reasons,
1.) There were no sufficient Microphones in the hall.
2.) The key note speaker did not have sufficient time, a busy famous retired person, I must say.
I agree, that every person has to change for the world to change. But how could he possibly propose to change the whole world? No matter how much he tries to change every person's soul. There will be one black soul that opposes his teachings and ultimately one black sheep in the herd, ends up with a black herd of sheep. I suppose, this is one question I have to figure out for myself.
The supposedly Padmabhushan award winner claimed to be humble and polite and kind hearted, and gave all kinds of explanations supporting his theory but ultimately got pissed when a student with a strong suit of questions accused education with a money laundering - management seat business, the student was right. Every word of his question was, but apparently, one is not supposed to criticize elders or a wise man because we are taught so since childhood. He entertained questions with answers ranging from 15-20 minutes of speech, ultimately confusing the person who had asked the question to think the speaker is an eminent personality who must not be messed with. Also, criticizing a young first year lady and humiliating the poor soul on stage in front of 550 students. Her question sure made sense, but his answer did not. I bet, people do agree with this little theory of mine, but choose not to because he is a respectable person. Well, to hell with that! Just because the whole world thinks he is, you are not supposed to change your perspective about the person. You are free to think on your own and I have just done that. At the end of the day, the person who just gave a speech on motivation by either acting or reading a screen play cannot help you because it is your perspective on life that shall take you somewhere in life. So, the next time you think the person is not right, do not be afraid to man up and speak. Because the youth has a new voice, and it shall rise.
