Are electrons humane?

Our lecturer says, electrons are indistinguishable particles and are all alike. We cannot distinguish electrons one from the other, and all travel with the same velocity. He somehow related it to us students saying that, we all have different faces and all of us can be distinguished but this is not the case in electrons. We cannot distinguish them. At that very moment it hit me, we are all of the same species i.e. humans and so is the lecturer, and that is the sole reason he can distinguish between me, and the guy sitting two benches ahead of me because only the same species has the power to differentiate sub species among themselves. Likewise, I hereby assume that none of the electrons are alike, and they can be distinguished only by electrons and not humans. Its sheer common sense, if aliens or for that matter electrons cannot differentiate humans, how can it be done so the other way round? Like there are male and female genders of the human species, there could be such genders in the electrons as well. You just can't see it because you are not an electron, and you were not meant to see it. If you were an electron, you could have distinguished the Obama and Osama Bin Laden of electrons and also their velocities within a matter of time. Perspective changes everything and the way we analyse as well. Food for thought for my dear lecturers and all the fellow readers. Keep reading people.

The Silent Debate Debacle

So I blog again, after a really long time, as I had to express my words to somebody or atleast somewhere after staying quiet on the stage in front of 200 people, there are thoughts humans develop in their brains and they ought to express it to prevent their brain from degrading. So, it goes like this.

Yesterday, I was sitting in the very first lecture while I was called out of nowhere and asked whether I would attend an Inter college fest, representing the college for debate. Its true, I had gone to another college for debate but didn't get into the finals solely because it was the first time I was participating in a debate competition. Now here was my second chance waiting for me just a stone's throw away. I accepted the offer and went to MVSIT's Fest Splash'12. The most disappointing thing about this college would be that we have to travel atleast a kilometre from the main National Highway to reach the college. The infrastructure of the college was good with scanty drinking water supply. It was nowhere as close to the fest I attended at NITTE. That was one awesome fest and NITTE was the place where for the very first time I understood what debate was all about. So getting back to MVSIT. We cleared the preliminary round with unprecedented ease and I was pretty confident that we could make it to the First prize until I heard that I had to speak on stage in front of a hundred people!!

The long lost nightmare of stage fear sprinted back to life making me vulnerable to its mercy. We had to speak against the topic 'Are social networking sites any good to the society?' And I jotted down all the points that I had to. I tell you, I am really good at jotting points down and writing stuff, but when it comes to speaking the same stuff I jotted down a minute earlier or for that matter any other stuff, I blurt out stupid things and make the most stupidest of mistakes in English Grammar which I would dare not even make in my dreams! And thats' what happened on stage, I spoke for the first 30 seconds making a hell lotta errors and stammering and slurring and god knows what! My partner spoke really well for the rest of the eleven and a half minutes! I was a sitting duck on the stage. For the next few hours and even now, I am trying to convince myself that I am not good at arguing (which i am actually not) reasoning that I was just not the debate kind of person. I stick to what I find is correct and not according to chits telling me to speak for OR aagainst something. I know, that's my silly excuse at embarrassment and I want to do better at speaking on stage, but not sure how.. Well readers, If you could help me, kindly do so. That's about it for today and I'll make it a point to blog more often now :P Alright people! :)
