Well, after a really long time I am back to do some blogging. Well these few months I had no access to a proper internet connection in the god forsaken town of Moodbidri. Well, even if I had got a proper net connection I had no time. Engineering was taking a toll on me. Now that my semester is over and I am home I have lots of time to kill and hence here I am writing about stuff.
Well, I did a lot of shopping with my friends today. Not a lot exactly. If the "roaming around the mall just like that" time isn't considered, I would have had a whole day to spare. Well apart from the mall, shopping in FS(Fashion Street :P) was time consuming. Well its around a kilometer stretch of salesmen trying from their heart, and crying out their hearts to sell clothes and all kinds of accessories
The thing about fashion street is when you ask for the price initially they would quote an exhorbitantly high price and if you buy that stuff for that price then you would be the biggest fool in the world after some greater fool that is. Well the foreigners are literally fooled to death out there if they don't know bargaining. I bought a pair shoes for 270 bucks which was initially 950 according to the over persuasive salesman who was calling me his brother! But then the bargaining factor was beneficiary, not to the salesman as much. One of my other friends was called by the salesman, and was asking him showing a clothe," Should I pack this for you?" Seriously shopkeepers are desperate to sell there. Another guy was selling "Original" Puma, Levi's, Reebok and Espirit for 100 bucks.
Its a good place to buy stuff if you know to bargain or else you are a chicken going to a butcher.
If you really don't know to bargain, go to pantaloons or big bazaar during a festive season. Its worth, except the crowd isn't.
Keep on Reading people. :D
